3. Tire Wear. To make sure your tires last as long as they should, it’s a good idea to have them rotated on a regular basis. This should be done every five to six thousand miles. There are many things that will determine when you should rotate them. Heat, driving conditions and storage will all have an impact. If you notice poor performance or worn tread you probably need to change your tires. Do it every other oil change.
4. Tire Goes Flat in Hot Weather. When the summer gets hot, it can affect your tires. Summers lead to more calls about flat tires. When it’s hot outside the air inside your tires will expand. Rising temperatures will increase the pressure inside the tire. The expansion can push the limits of the tire walls and the rubber will give out and pop like a balloon. The recommendation for tire pressure is the maximum tire pressure that should be there when the air is cold. Do not over-inflate your tires and check the pressure in the morning before you start to drive.
5. Road Hazards; Nail in Tire. Pot holes, uneven surfaces and ruts can all cause flat tires. However, the most common reason for flats is driving over debris and sharp objects. Sometimes it’s hard to avoid these and a lot of the time they can be patched up.

You can’t always prevent a flat tire, but there are things you can do to help prevent them. Maintain your tires by checking the air pressure often. Add more if needed being careful not the over-inflate them. This will make chances of a flat higher and it’s not safe. Don’t drive on tires that are under-inflated either. This will lead to uneven wear and further weaken the tire. Rotate your tires as recommended. The tires will wear more evenly and when you do this your tires will be inspected with a set of professional eyes to spot any issues.
